Emma Watson, our generation’s most public feminist, has been speaking out about the issue for a long time.
It looks like she wants to befriend ‘Girls’ creator Lena Dunham the way Taylor Swift did! Do you think Emma Watson, Lena Dunham and Tay Tay will reunite as this generations’ strongest and most public group of feminism believers?
In an 2012 interview, ‘Noah’ actress admitted that she is in love with ‘Girls’ and its creator and star.
“I am literally obsessed with [Girls creator and star] Lena Dunham.
She’s, like, my favorite person in the world.
I follow her on Twitter; I read her every day.
And, yes, Girls is an example of something so refreshing because it feels real.” Lena Dunham, with ‘Girls’ season 4 premiere less than two months away, has been getting even more public with her new memoir, ‘Not That Kind of Girl’ out on the shelves.
Most recently, she has been attracting the attention of all sorts of wannabe feminist celebrities like Taylor Swift, Emma Stone and more.
Now it looks like Emma Watson wants to hop on that feminism train as well! ‘Noah’ actress has been vocal about her women empowerment beliefs ever since she graduated from the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise.
Even with her steady relationship with her Oxford rugby player boyfriend Matt Janney, she has been known to take the rein.
“If I want to see someone, I want to see them, and if I don’t, then I don’t,” commented ‘Noah’ actress in a 2011 interview.
“My friends are always telling me I have to play hard to get because I’ll pretty much say to a guy, ‘I like you — let’s go hang out.’ But my friends are like, ‘You can’t do that! You have to string this guy along.’ And I’m just like, ‘No! I won’t! I just want to go on the date!’ It’s a nightmare — I definitely haven’t figured it out yet.” Do you think Lena Dunham will reach out to Emma to become Hollywood’s new best friends?
