Drama Review Corner: 'Goblin' Episode 8

Here comes another recap and review session for “Goblin” as it continues to unfold on episode 8. Check some of the highlights of this action-filled episode. HIGHLIGHTS 1. The Goblin saves Eun Tak
The episode kicks off with a scene from episode 7 where Kim Shin is seen saving Eun Tak from his powerful unexpected jolt of reaction when Eun Tak tried to remove the sword from his chest. This attempt to save his bride caused a lot of damage in a parking lot. Luckily, Duk Hwa and the grim reaper helped the goblin in handling the aftermath. Duk Hwa was in charge of compensating the damages from the car owners while the grim reaper was assigned to handle the psychological damages from those who witnessed the scene. As expected, the grim reaper did this by his magical power of hypnotizing people. This scene was also highlighted by other reviews such as the one made by All Kpop . 2. God shows up Many viewers and reviewers like Dramabeans are interested right from the start if what could be the appearance of the God mentioned in the drama. The God was responsible for Kim Shin’s present and punishment of being immortal. In the middle of the episode, Kim Shin finally met the God who is disguised as the pretty lady in red. The God finally told Kim Shin that he needs to get the sword removed as soon as possible, or else it will leave Eun Tak in a series of unfortunate events which will end up killing her. 3. The Grim Reaper’s First Move Majority of episode 8 was totally dramatic and serious, and it’s good to have a little bit of sweetness courtesy of the awkward yet cute love story between the grim reaper and Sunny. Sunny stared blankly on the street and counted the passersby until it reached 50 so she can finally go home. As if on cue, the 50 th  person was the grim reaper. Still shocked, the grim reaper motioned for Sunny to check her phone and to her surprise, the grim reaper left her 10 missed calls. The two engaged in a funny conversation starting from the real reason why the grim reaper was there on the first place which is because he wanted to tell Sunny that he has no religion. Sunny then changed the topic by revealing her real name, that it was Kim Sun. This caused some shocking flashback to the grim reaper causing him to have a sudden chest pain forcing him to hypnotize Sunny in order for her to forget everything that just happened. “Goblin” is getting more exciting in the next episodes. Catch it every Friday and Saturday on tvN or streaming sites like Dramafever.
