The Equalizer, which debuted this week, is this weekend’s top grossing film and is expected to earn more cinemagoers to see the film.
On Friday, the crime story earned $12.5 million Friday, a review of the movie by The Guardian described it as a “people’s choice for entertainingly senseless violence,” with other reviews praising as always Denzel’s acting.
Denzel plays a former operative who now lives a quiet life until he helped a young girl, which makes him have to deal with Russia mobsters.
It is based on the 1980’s television series with the same name.

‘Dolphin Tale 2′ is at number 5 with total earnings of $33 Million in its third week and hauled $1.3 Million Friday and $5 Million total this weekend.
