Demi Lovato Defends Vanity Fair Nude Shoot; Former Disney Star Completely Over Her Past Insecurities?

Demi Lovato defended her Vanity Fair nude photo shoot. According to the Vanity Fair  feature, the former Disney star’s willingness to do the risqué pictorial makes it seem like she is completely over her past insecurities.

Photos from Demi Lovato’s Vanity Fair special showed the once-wholesome child star without any clothes and makeup. The 23-year-old singer-actress also instructed for her raw images not be retouched before publishing.
While many fans of the “Camp Rock” star did not expect Demi Lovato to pose nude for a magazine, the outspoken young celebrity carefully explained why she did the pictorial.
The Demi Lovato Vanity Fair shoot took place just a day after the passing of her great-grandfather Buddy Moore. Although emotionally drained during the pictorial, the “Warrior” singer admitted that the untimely death in her family made her braver to take on new things.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the past day, it’s that life is too short,” she said.
Demi Lovato’s sexy Vanity Fair special is also in line with her new album “Confident,” which will be released this October.
“I’m about to launch an album that finally represents who I truly am,” she explained.
“How do I embrace this new chapter in my life? How do I really walk the walk? What does it mean to be confident? It means letting go, being authentic, saying I don’t give a f*** and this is who I am.”
“I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated, that’s free,” she added.
According to a recent report from Yahoo Celebrity , Demi Lovato opened up about her past struggles as a young singer-actress. The curvy celebrity has long been open about how she battled drugs, alcohol and eating disorders during her teen years.
“I went through it and the thing is, when you hit a certain amount of success you also still have to figure out how to be a teenager,” she recalled.
“It’s the most confusing time in anyone’s life.”
