Danica McKellar is a married woman! The actress and “Dancing with the Stars” alum tied the knot with Scott Sveslosky over the weekend in a private ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the pair exchanged vows in front of 25 of their closest friends and family members.
McKellar, who became America’s sweetheart while playing Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years, told PEOPLE that her wedding couldn’t have been more perfect.
“It was absolutely magical,” she said.
“We were married at 6:30 a.m.
in a sunrise ceremony.
The forecast predicted rain, but there was not a drop of water in the clear sky.
The sun came peaking up over the mountains just as I was walking down the aisle, alongside both my parents.” McKellar and Sveslosky wore Hawaiian leis made with white flowers and included their sons in the intimate ceremony.
(Danica shares 4-year-old son Draco with her ex-husband Mike Verta, while Scott has a 10-year-old son named Hunter with his ex-wife.) “Scott and I exchanged our vows,” McKellar told PEOPLE, “and then we exchanged family vows with our sons Hunter and Draco – we wrote everything ourselves.
We also performed a sand ceremony where the four of us poured different colored sand into a vase which we will keep at home.” The couple announced their engagement in July.
Sveslosky, an attorney, popped the question with a dazzling diamond sparkler that McKellar showed off on Instagram .
Now that they’re officially married, the newlyweds are packing in some thrilling adventures to their honeymoon.
McKellar posted a photo on Instagram of her and Sveslosky as they prepare to take a ride on a zip line.
“Any guesses about what we’re doing on our tropical vacation? Hint: It starts with a “Z” and ends in ‘Ahhhh!'” she captioned the photo.
Sounds like fun! Congrats to the happy couple!
