Criminal Minds” season 10 cast Shemar Moore’s appearance in “The Young and the Restless” reportedly boosted the show’s ratings, as actor spilled more spoilers when it said the series will offer a “lot of gems” going forward.

According to Soap Opera Network , “The Young and the Restless” posted an average of 4.7 million viewers from September 8-12, which is up three percentage points from the previous week.

The website credited the ratings boost to “Criminal Minds” season 10 cast Shemar Moore’s appearance in the show.

“On the days featuring Moore (Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11), “Y&R” averaged 4,690,000 viewers, although the former posted the better of the two with 4,824,000 tuning in for Moore’s first episode back on the soap in nearly 10 years,” it said.

In an interview with TVGuide , “Criminal Minds” season 10 cast Shemar Moore said that he got a personal call from CBS  Entertainment president Nina Tassler herself out of the blue.

So when the “big boss” calls him with a personal request, he can’t say anything other than “Yes, Ma’am!” Meanwhile, “Criminal Minds” season 10 cast Shemar Moore dished spoilers to  Huffington Post Canada  for his character in the investigative drama, Derek Morgan.

“Jennifer Love Hewitt has joined our cast.

She’s great …

and has naturally and easily fit into the ensemble.

I’m grateful that Derek has a girlfriend.

It’s about time he got some! I’m glad the romance has shown new layers to the character,” he said.

“There are a lot of gems this season.

This show is more character-driven than most procedurals,” Shemar Moore added.
