Just a year since the band released “Ghost Stories,” Coldplay is reported to be working on a follow up record, which is believed by some that will have a release date this year.
In a report by Idolator , Coldplay wasted no time since their 2014 release after revealing the official title of the follow up to fans last May 13.
After announcing that they have already been recording since December last year, Chris Martin announced the progress of the upcoming release.
In line with that, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that this may also be their last release for the band after they compared their studio releases with the “Harry Potter” series.
“It’s our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it’s like the last ‘Harry Potter’ book or something like that,” Martin explained.
“Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something.
I have to think of it as the final thing we’re doing.
Otherwise we wouldn’t put everything into it.” Being on the road was one thing the band didn’t do after their 2014 release and going on tour after the new album release was confirmed by Coldplay to happen.
In line with this, rumored track titles may have been revealed in an ASCAP tweet.
Release date of the new Coldplay album “A Head Full Of Dreams” is expected soon and some people speculate that the band may have the LP hit the shelves before the end of the year.
