Five popular K-Pop idol groups are to attend a music festival in Thailand. The Korean Big Five in Bangkok is to star 5 biggest K-Pop stars such as TVXQ , SHINee , BEAST , BTOB and one other surprise guest. Earlier it was announced to be B.A.P however later the concert organizer announced the group will not be joining the concert. The remaining artist has yet to be announced. The concert will take place at Aktive Square, Meungthong Thani, Thailand on September 8 to feature an unforgettable 3 hour show shared the event organizer Production Addict Co., LTD. The K-Pop wave in Thailand seems to be going on strong most recently in April of this year MBC held a joint concert of “2012 Thailand Hallyu Concert” at the Rachamankha Arena in Bangkok. Vocal group 4Men ‘s youngest member, Shin Yong Jae released his first solo album teaser. On July 23, they released his 55 second teaser for his intro “All I Ever Think About is You” on his official Youtube channel. In the video, Shin Yong Jae is sitting with his back to the camera in a dark and foggy room. The highlight of the video is when a mysterious figure starts crying while he is singing. His agency commented, “This is his first solo album after his debut 5 years ago. This album was produced and written by Shin Yong Jae himself and has been gaining much attention.” His album will officially release on July 27.
Rookie idol group Big Star has transformed into a New York street dancer. On July 23, Big Star released their intro special video, ‘Big Start’ on their official Youtube channel and official blog. In the video, they are wearing silver and pink outfits with a New York style set, similar to the dance movie, “Step Up.” They showcased their powerful street dance moves. In particular, their b-boying, crump and walking dance moves caught the attention of many viewers. Currently, Big Star is performing their debut title song, ” Hot Boy ” with their powerful stage presence.
BoA ‘s ” Only One ” dance version music video was released. This dance version music video was produced by her brother Soon Wook Kwon and was filmed at a video set in June. She received much support from fans with her charismatic and powerful dance moves. The choreography was created by famous dance team, Nappytabs, which showed a new and interesting dance style. Also, on July 24 at midnight, BoA’s drama version of the music video, featuring actor Yoo Ah In will be released. The teaser for the drama version was released on July 19, gaining much attention. After School ‘s E-Young has revealed there is no one disciplining the members. Since leader Kahi ‘s departure, there is no one disciplining the junior members in the group. On the recent episode featuring an anniversary special of MBC Everyone’s ” Weekly Idol ,” After School starred as guests on the show. All the members who guested on the show talked about their former leader Kahi. The topic was of much interest as they have a variety of age groups. MC Jung Hyung Don asked E-Young, “I’m curious as to who disciplines the members now since the oldest, Kahi has left.” She replied, “In the beginning, Uee unni told us things we should look out for, but now we rarely get disciplined.” The other members all agreed, saying, “The order in which we get in the car or wash our hair, is all in the past now. Since everythings changed, there’s no order.” As if to confirm that, member Lizzy began spilling secrets without discretion about Uee and Jooyeon . Singer Seo In Gook has revealed that he has signed a contract with Irving Entertainment, a famous Japanese management agency. On July 23rd, JellyFish Entertainment stated, “Seo In Guk has recently signed a contract with Irving Entertainment, the agency housing Hallyu stars like Ryu Si Won, Kwon Sang Woo, and Jung Woo Sung.” They continued, “Ever since the KBS 2TV’s drama, ‘ Love Rain ‘ began broadcasting in the Japan, Seo In Gook has been steadily gaining fame as he appeared in the drama. In order to support his career as an actor and singer in Japan, we decided to sign him onto a large-scale Japanese agency.” Seo In Gook is the winner of ” Superstar K ” in 2009, and debuted as a singer. He also worked as an actor for “Love Rain,” and has been receiving praise for his performance. He is also planning to star in the new TvN drama “Respond, 1997.”
