SISTAR, who released their new song “Give It To Me” on June 11, has been rank 1 in music charts such as MelOn, Mnet, and Bugs for 14 days straight. The oldest active idol group Shinhwa has taken a number one trophy home just two weeks after the release of their new album, The Classic, with the title song, “This Love.” On May 25, at the live coverage of MBC music show ” Show! Music Core ” Shinhwa was one of the contenders for the top spot as they were nominated to compete for the weekly honor. Prior to the announcement of the winner, Shinhwa stated with modesty, “We are glad just to have been nominated.” About the head-to-head matchup for the number one spot against K-Pop legend Jo Yong Pil, Shinhwa again volunteered to take the back seat, saying “We are not going to get greedy.” Immediately after the quick interview, however, the announcement was made. Shinhwa was number one for the week. Shocked, Jun Jin went down on the ground unable to keep his stance. Other performers on May 25 included Lee Hyori , 2PM , 4minute, SECRET, Lee Ki Chan, B1A4 , VIXX , Younha , Nine Muses , 100% , History , LC9 and N-SONIC.

The female duo Davichi ‘s new song ‘Just the Two Of Us’ rose to rank No.1 in Gaon download chart. According to the Gaon chart today, this month’s 5th week’s download top 100 included Davichi’s ‘Just the Two Of Us’ with 261,191 downloads, rising to rank 1. Davichi’s ‘Turtle’ that was rank 5 last week went down to rank 9. Second in place was Supreme Team ‘s ‘You Can Stay That Way’ with 256,661 downloads. Girls’ Generation leader Taeyeon is topping all the charts this week with her new single “And One” from the That Winter, The Wind Blows OST. There was a lot of excitement earlier this month when it was announced that Taeyeon would be adding her talent to the soundtrack for the popular SBS drama That Winter, The Wind Blows – and the song has definitely not disappointed. Following in the footsteps of Gummy and The One, the latest addition to the OST, “And One,” has shot Taeyeon to the top of the music charts. This week the single debuted on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart at No. 1. “And One” also put the Girls’ Generation frontwoman at No. 4 in the Melon rankings and in 2 nd place on the GaOn chart. SHINee’s 3rd album ‘Chapter 1 Dream Girl – The Misconception of You’ released on Feburary 20th has been rank 1 of daily, weekly and monthly music charts. In the daily charts, SHINee’s album has been rank 1 since February 20th for 8 days, and rank 1 for 2 weeks straight in the weekly chart.
