CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa Produces Japan Album Title Song with Inspiration from 'Avengers'

CNBLUE ‘s first Japan album’s title song music video has been released. Their first official Japan album, CODE NAME BLUE , will be released on August 29.  The title song, “Time is Over” was written and produced by leader Jung Yong Hwa . Jung Yong Hwa is said to have received inspiration from the movie “Avengers” while writing this song. “I am stronger. You want to break me, but you can’t bring me down. The time to rest is over.” You can see from the lyrics that CNBLUE will be coming back with a stronger and more mature image. Jung Yong Hwa commented, “Since this is our first Japan album, we worked especially hard on it. We are doing this for our fans who have waited all this time and for the people who listen to our songs and become inspired and strong.” Their new music video shows the members rehearsing together in their practice room.

2NE1 Releases Official Trailer for Global Tour 2012!

2NE1 released an official trailer for their upcoming Global Tour 2012 ‘New Evolution’. Today, 2NE1 released a 38-second trailer video of their upcoming global tour ‘New Evolution’ through various video websites such as YouTube. In the video, short clips of 2NE1 at concerts is shown, along with the fans that filled up the stadium cheering for their star 2NE1. Though the video is short, it seemed to include all the excitement that the fans must have as the days of the tour is drawing nearer. The trailer starts off by showing just the bodies of 2NE1 members in a black tight outfit, and the letters ‘2NE1’ are shown one by one. As it is 2NE1’s very first global tour, the fans seem to be more excited than ever. Internet users who saw this commented, “I love you 2NE1”, “Please come to our country too”, “I can’t wait”, etc. 2NE1 will be going to 7 different countries and 10 different cities, including Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Busy Wonder Girls, Going to U.S. After Japan

Busy Wonder Girls

Girl group Wonder Girls will be moving on to U.S. after working in Japan. One representative from JYP said, “We will be going on to Wonder Girls’ America promotion soon.” Wonder Girls debuted in Japan last month through a showcase. They ranked 14th in Oricon chart the first week of their debut and sold 7,460 albums. Those results are not that impressive as how popular Wonder Girls is. The representative said, “They did not go to Japan to get more popular. They just wanted to meet their fans in Japan, that is all.” Wondergirls’ Yoobin had also said during an interview in June, “We did not go to Japan to get rank 1 in Oricon charts, we just wanted Japan to listen to our music.” Wonder Girls will be moving onto promotion in the U.S. after ‘JYP Nation’ concert in Japan on 18th and 19th. SBS K-Pop Super Concert has been canceled. According to the event promoter, SBS K-Pop Super Concert which was planned to be held on August 10 at Home Depot Center in Los Angeles was canceled today. SBS K-Pop Super Concert has garnered a huge attention of local fans since it was announced to be the largest K-Pop concert in United States ever held with attendance number reaching up to 27,000. New group, NU’EST is planning on going overseas. In the music industry, going overseas is almost as if it is a required course, and has become common. As many idols are dreaming of succeeding overseas, there is a group that is noteworthy. NU’EST is that very group. SM, Producing Its Best Album For the First Time in 12 Years… ‘SM BEST ALBUM 3’ on the 10th!

SM’s best album ‘SM BEST ALBUM 3’ will be released on the 10th. The album was made in celebration of the SM fair that is being held in COEX mall in Seoul on the 10th. ‘SM BEST ALBUM 1’ was released in 1994, and ‘SM BEST ALBUM 2′ in 2001, so it has been 12 years since their last one. Because it has been so long since the last one was produced, fans are all the more excited to be able to have the best songs of SM in one album. The best album, composed of 6 CDs, contains 89 songs from SM from 2001 to 2012. It not only contains artists’ best songs, but also individual songs by SM artists, such as Taeyeon’s “Can You Hear Me,” Tiffany’s “Alone,” YeSung’s “I Can’t If It’s Not You,” and even piano songs by pianist Song Kwang Shik. 7,000 Fans Wait for Big Bang at Beijing Airport

7,000 fans waited at the Beijing airport for Big Bang ‘s visit. On the afternoon of past 3rd, a photo was uploaded on the online board with a comment saying “7,000 fans who came to the Beijing airport to see Big Bang today.” In the uploaded photo, fans who packed the airport is holding the welcoming card and waiting for Big Bang. The fans decorated the card with Korean characters, and neon lights. This showed Big Bang’s global popularity. Big Bang met their Chinese fans in six years and had concert at Shanghai on past July 21st. On past 28th, Big Bang had a concert at Gwanzhou International Sports Arena and will perform on the 4th at Beijing Mastercard Center, collecting 30,000 audience. On the other hand, Big Bang will proceed ‘Alive Galaxy Tour 2012’ at 16 countries and 25 cities, starting with Seoul performance last March.

Thanks to a lovely up-and-coming news producer who happens to be a Primadonna and a fan of FNC Family,  CNBLUE ‘s song “One Time” got a brief airplay via American television on WPSD-TV’s morning newscast. The song was inserted into a news segment the morning of August 2nd (US Central Time) and was broadcasted in 4 American Midwestern states: Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri.  WPSD-TV is the local counterpart of NBC. On her YouTube page, the uploader and news producer stated: ‘Aired a part of CNBLUE song to four states in USA as part of my morning newscast. Abusing my producer power to share the love of FNC’  On her Twitter, she said, “I did it to fulfill my own fan pride but it’s so awesome how everyone’s sharing their excitement! So awesome being part of amazing fandom!” The song featured was a part of CNBLUE’s Japanese single EP during their indie days, “The Way”, released in October 2010.  It was co-composed by CNBLUE leader Jung Yong Hwa . Adidas athletes and ambassadors showed off their shoes and their moves as they danced to Nicki Minaj ‘s song, “Masquerade.” The commercial featured K-Pop sensation 2NE1 along with Nicki Minaj herself and Jeremy Scott, Derrick Rose and Big Sean. They will also be holding a Facebook contest on how other people rock their Adidas. The commercial showed the top artists in all parts of the world rocking their own style with the vivid colors of the adidas brand. 2NE1 rocked their funky dance moves in the commercial as well. KBS and BBC Join Together to Create a K-Pop Documentary and Concert

KBS and BBC (British Broadcasting Company) have come together to create a  K-Pop documentary. KBS stated, “KBS president Kim In Kyu has met with BBC’s Mark Thompson in London to discuss plans for a K-Pop concert as well as a K-Pop documentary film. They plan to co-produce both of these films together.” The two companies have agreed to this proposition and will later announce the details of the process.
