Kim Tae Hyung, better known as “V”‘s character may have died in “Hwarang” but the first time actor will take with him many fond memories of his first time starring in a drama. The lovable member of the Bangtan Boys shared his thoughts with the fans through a BTS footage from the set. According to V, he had a lot of good memories playing Hansung in the Korean period drama and got a lot of help from his co-stars Park Seo Joon, Hyungsik, Minho, Do Ji Han, Cho Yoon Woo, Kim Hyun Joon, and Sung Dong Il along the way. He said this made it easier for him to navigate his journey as an actor, All Kpop reported.
“I laughed and cried as ‘ Hansung ‘ and I was happy to be able to live as him,” he said. “I hope that viewers can also feel the sincerity I did through him.” In “Hwarang” Episode 18, Hansung died to protect Park Seo Jung’s character Moo Ryung from an attack with a poisoned blade. In order to save his friend, Hansung shielded him and held on to the blade, leading to his eventual death. His co-stars were also all praises for for Kim Tae Hyung, saying that he worked really hard to do well in the drama. Do Ji Han, who plays Ban Ryu Rang in the series shared a few anecdotes about V’s dedication to his role, Soompi reported. According to the actor, Tae Hyung was initially very nervous given that “Hwarang” was his first drama but he made up for it by being very diligent and studious. Ji Han said that Tae Hyung would often ask him questions about acting by inviting him to eat out and have coffee along with Park Seo Hoon. He also praised V for being naturally talented and humble, saying that not all young actors would approach older actors to seek guidance like Tae Hyung. Ji Han also said that the young artist has an infectious energy that remains constant despite the demands of juggling his music and acting commitments making him one of the most amazing talents on the set of the drama.
