Bong Joon-ho, Park Chan-wook join forces for 'Snowpiercer' US movie-to-drama adaptation

It looks like it is not only ” Criminal Minds ,” a US TV series with 13 million-strong viewership, that will have a K-Drama flavor. Something is zooming in on American television soon. The collaboration aims at introducing American TV’s approach of having multiple seasons into the Korean entertainment front. Envisioned for a TNT pilot, the venture is one of the biggest Korean overseas partnership to date.
The series concept reels off ” Snowpiercer ” will soon become a dominant TNT TV watch. It tackles the effects of man’s destruction of planet Earth that drops concerns for a healthy environment. A dystopian-tinted weekly tuner based on the blockbuster movie, it is now shooting its one-hour pilot episode. It holds the promise of a full season deal based on the impact of the collaborative craftsmanship put into it. Casting Specifics Song Kang-ho, Chris Evans,  Go Ah-sung , and Tilda Swanson head the cast. Viewers will remember that these stars held stellar roles in previously high-grossing films: ” The Age of Shadows,” “Captain America,” “Heard It Through the Grapevine,”  and ” Doctor Strange.” A significant Korean overseas TV production project, it has a budget of USD 40 million. How the characters survive on Earth, which has become unlivable, will string the conflict tight enough to dominate American TV viewing. What shall the last of the inhabitants now trapped to live in a train do? The passengers comprise of the wealthy – the rich elite who will be managing the front seats, while the poor settles for the back part of the vehicle. What the audience will behold is a new piece of weekly TV viewing spot with a Korean production approach. The TV screen spectacle uses the expertise of Bong Joon-ho and Park Chan-wook, both original producer and director team for Snowpiercer . They were known for their work on ” Sea Fog” and ” Handy Man.”
