By all indication, “Bones” season 11 would be the last for the long-time hit series as David Boreanaz is already thinking of moving on from the show.
According to E! News , he said that season 11 of “Bones” is a “great way to wrap the whole series up.”
“I’m excited about that,” he said.
The actor elaborated that this would be the right time to end the journey for Agent Booth and Dr. Brennan.
“For me, personally, I think it’s time,” he elaborated. “I think that 11 seasons is great. I mean, one season is great! I don’t really count it as seasons but what we’ve given to the show and what we can do, for me it’s great to see the show come to an end and do it the way we want to do it.”
David Boreanaz also teased some spoilers for “Bones” season 11 as he promised more of the banter that fans have come to love of the characters.
“We’re doing fun shows,” he revealed. “We’re doing a whole fantasy football episode now; we’re doing one with Betty White, who’s fantastic. The shows are going to be geared toward what the original pilot was really about.”
It seems the studio execs and David Boreanaz are on the same page as far as season 11 being the last for “Bones.”
Back in March, Fox head Dana Walden told reporters, “”We love the show. It’s been so meaningful to the studio and nothing would make us happier than doing another year.”
Emily Deschanel also isn’t too optimistic about “Bones” being renewed after season 11 as she told TVLine back when the show was in season 10.
“There’s a lot of factors that they’re trying to figure out. But I think everyone’s interested in continuing to tell the story,” she said. “I don’t know how much longer after Season 11 it would go, but it’d be nice to explore it for at least one more year. ”
