Bon Jovi has confirmed a few months ago that he is indeed working on a new album and it looks like 12 new songs will be included.
Meanwhile, former guitarist Richie Sambora discusses what makes Bon Jovi special and see how much he is having a good time with now-girlfriend Orianthi.
In a report by People magazine , the singer is now back to the studio and there will be at least 12 songs included in the new material.
“I walked here from the studio,” Bon Jovi said.
“I just read the paper, it gives you an opportunity to write something …
It’s early but I’m about a dozen songs in.
I feel good.” Meanwhile, more than two years since their separation, former band guitarist Richie Sambora is having a blast working with Australian guitarist Orianthi.
He spoke with Ultimate Classic Rock and he addressed his status with his former band.
“I just needed some kind of change,” referring to his departure from Bon Jovi.
“It’s not about money; it’s about music.” He added that the reason why the band is still intact and fans remain faithful to the band is the authenticity of their brand of music.
“I think [it was about] good songs and the authenticity didn’t really change,” he said.
“You know, you can’t all of a sudden [be] Bon Jovi and turn into f-in’ Pink Floyd! Some bands try that and it doesn’t work.
Stick to who you are and be authentic – I think that was a big part of it – and then just go out there and work.” “I don’t care what band you’re in – you’re a live band, you’ve got to go out there and prove it every night, and we did.
We kept on working really, really hard.
It was all hard work and that work ethic never stopped.
We’re blue-collar kids at heart,” he added.
Speaking of Orianthi, not only is the couple having great time creating quality music, but they are also spending quality time as a couple.
