Blake Lively Pursuing A Fashion Career? `Preserve' Founder Designs Her First Dress

Blake Lively appears to be pursuing a fashion career as the “Preserve” founder designed her first dress.

According to a report from TV3 , the “Gossip Girl” actress created a retro-style dress that she designed together with a label named Amourt Vert.

The brand goes by a strict policy of producing garments without any waste.

Blake Lively’s fashion sense is evident in the summery dress, which features a printed pink and grey flowy skirt and a cream v-neck top.

The elegant creation can be purchased in “Preserve” for $230.

The lifestyle website was launched last year and features Blake Lively’s fashion pieces, kitchen recipes and home décor.

”I may not be able to draw worth a lick, but I am proud of this dress I co-designed with Amour Vert for @preserve_us,” Blake Lively wrote alongside a photo of her wearing the dress.

”You better send me pics if you buy it! I want to share your photos!! #PRSRV so I see it.” Blake Lively has been open about her fashion design dream.

“To be honest, I could really see myself opening a clothing label and might even do it one day,” the 27-year-old actress told Jolie  magazine.

“But right now there is just no time for it.

I really couldn’t take any more sleep deprivation!” “I was lucky to grow up in a family that’s obsessed with fashion but also very down to earth.

My parents were very keen for us kids to have a healthy sense of self-worth and to feel comfortable in our own skin,” Blake Lively explained.

“My mother also taught me that extremes are rarely good, for example in terms of figure or striving for perfection.

It sounds like a cliché, but true beauty comes from within.” As for the website that carries Blake Lively’s first fashion creation, Us Weekly  reported how “Preserve” was recently given a seal of approval from lifestyle veteran Martha Stewart.

“I think Blake has done a good job with her site.

It’s an interesting site – kind of an interesting product on it,” Martha Stewart said about “Preserve.”
