The Blackberry Passport release date was launched a couple of months back, yet the Canadian manufacturer are trying to refresh its lineup with new color versions. According to a report by GSM Arena , the original black version will now be accompanied by two new color options, red and white – which are both arriving in stores just in time for the holiday season.
Oddly, the two new color versions are more expensive than the black one, with the white option priced at $599, and the red one costing a whopping $699.
If you are on a budget but you want to get this gorgeous and unique-looking smartphone, the black version is only $499. So what’s different between the black version and the new colors? Nothing really.
The prices may have been increased because the red and white Blackberry Passports look better than the original. In the report, both the white and red Blackberry Passport can now be found in Amazon, but shipping will be on November 28. In case you are wondering what all this commotion is all about for a Blackberry device, the Passport is a flagship-level device from the struggling phone maker. The phone boasts a 4.5-inch touchscreen display with 1440 x 1440 resolution, and paired with the company’s patented QWERTY keypad.
Also on board is 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and 32GB of built-in memory. In the camera department, the Passport can also compete with its 13MP primary camera and 2MP front shooter. In terms of battery, the Blackberry device packs a 3450mAh battery, which GSM Arena tested and brought 73 hours of power in continuous use.
