It seems like Black Sabbath may not be open with a new album release anytime soon as relationship between Ozzy Osbourne and Bill Ward may still be in shambles.
A recent report by Loud Wire , however, revealed that Ward may be fine with the rest of the group after the drummer was seen together with Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler during the recently held Ivor Novello awards night.
“It was good, it was really great to see Bill,” Iommi told Gig Wise recently. “I mean Bill and I stayed in contact, not as much as we used to, but we do stay in contact. But it was really nice to see him and it was just a nice warm feeling to be with him again.”
He was then asked if Black Sabbath would perform live again and possibly release a new album with Ward in the future, the guitarist resounded with a confident “No,” although he is still open for the possibility.
“No, to be honest – I don’t know if that’s going to happen,” he said. “But who knows? You never know.”
Black Sabbath, meanwhile, has plans on releasing a new album in the near future since they have some tracks ready that they have worked on with Rick Rubin recently.
“We’ve got some tracks that we recorded before with Rick Rubin in LA when we did our last album,” the guitarist said. “We done 16 tracks, but we only put eight on the album so there are tracks there that could possibly show their face at some point.”
After getting better from cancer, the guitarist is confident about his comeback and even stated how having a new album from Black Sabbath would be a perfect return in the scene.
