There are a number of must-see deals during the Black Friday sale promos for 2014.
However, there are a number of really special deals which tech and smartphone fans should not miss. According to a report by Phone Arena , Best Buy will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S5 for only $1, of course on a 2-year contract.
The Galaxy S5 was on sale for $199 before the promo, but Android and Samsung fans can now get it for ‘almost’ free upfront. One of the top Android smartphones this year, the Samsung flagship is a robust device that sports a waterproof and dustproof body.
It also packs a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset. Also on board is a 16MP primary camera, 2.1MP front shooter, and 2,800mAh battery.
The device also comes with a 32GB built-in storage that can be expanded up to 128GB through the provided microSD card slot. The Galaxy S5 immediately captured the interest of the Android world, even the Sony Xperia Z2 which was announced on the same day as the Samsung flagship.
The phone also has a fingerprint sensor, heart-rate monitor and other unique features.
Eventually, more high-end devices made its way to the market including the Oppo Find 7, the HTC One M8, and the LG G3. With the current specs trends right now, the Galaxy S5 may not be the ultimate smartphone everyone was raving about almost a year ago.
However, it does not mean that the Galaxy S5 is not a top 10 smartphone for this year. Those who cannot afford the bigger, newer and much more expensive Galaxy Note 4 can avail the next best thing – the Galaxy S5. Unfortunately, if you are planning to get the device you should decide right away as the sale will end on Saturday.
