Ben Affleck, who plays Batman in DC’s cinematic universe was recently spotted at a filming location for “Suicide Squad.” Twitter user BartFear has shared this image:
Affleck’s mysterious appearance might prove a connection between the villain-led film and “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” It has been previously revealed that the events in “Suicide Squad” will take place before Zack Snyder’s crossover film.
Screen Rant explained the possible connection and said that its “The Joker’s past run-ins with Batman that made him of value to Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), since Gotham City’s vigilante was one potential metahuman hero on her radar.
If Affleck’s Bruce Wayne truly has hung up his cape for a time – returning to the cowl only after Superman destroys part of Metropolis – then Leto’s Joker (and escape) would work well to both draw Batman into the film, and follow his nemesis out of it.” Previously announced cast members include Will Smith (After Earth) as Deadshot, Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) as The Joker, Margot Robbie (Wolf of Wall Street) as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman (Run All Night) as Rick Flagg, Cara Delevigne (Papertown) as The Enchantress, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost) as Killer Croc, Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder) as Amanda Waller, Jay Hernandez (Hostel) as El Diablo, and newcomer Karen Fukuhara as Plastique.
