Battlefield 5 Release Date Set For Holiday 2016 As EA Wants To Avoid ‘Fatigue Franchise?’ New Installment Going Back To Military Style; ‘Hardline’ Arriving In March

Battlefield 5’s possible release date won’t happen until 2016, according to latest reports.

After the release of the last DLC for Battlefield 4 called “Final Stand” on Tuesday, fans start to anticipate the release of the next installment.

However, analysts suggest that EA games might not set release date for Battlefield 5 until 2016.

Attackofthefanboy.com estimates that Battlefield 5 release date might be slated particularly for Holiday season of 2016.

Citing an IGN article by Stern Agee, Crossmap noted the three reasons why the Battlefield 4 successor will not be available as early as next year, with the first two reasons being connected to technical issues experienced by gamers from the current EA offering.

The post reads: “The first and second reasons are related to the aforementioned technical issues that Battlefield 4 had experienced.

EA wants to avoid the ‘franchise fatigue’ that might grip the next installment of Battlefield.

After the Battlefield 4 release on October 29, players have experienced server problems.” The third reasons points to the fact that EA Games has lots of things on their plate now.

For instance, Battlefield Hardline is slated for a March 2015 release for PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

It will definitely be too soon if EA also decides to set Battlefield 5 release date next year.

EA Games is also working on a shooter game based on Star Wars movies.

Going back to Battlefield 5, the upcoming game is set to return to its “militaristic roots.” As cited on PlayStation Lifestyle website, Blake Jorgensen, EA Arts CFO said during the 2014 UBS Global Technology Conference, “That will be a return to a Battlefield military-style game; more to come on that.”
