Leaked concept art gives us a better look at the Caped Crusader’s Batwing, which debuted in the first trailer of “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Latino Review’s resident superhero film reporter Umberto Gonzales provided the scoop:
Here’s another angle: Elements of the new Batwing’s design can be compared to Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns, the graphic novel where the film is reportedly based from.
Elsewhere in DC’s cinematic universe, Batman’s arch-nemesis, The Joker, has been revealed.
The “clown prince of crime” will be portrayed by Jared Leto (Dallas Buyer Club) in the villain-led film “Suicide Squad.” His version will also be based on Miller’s comic book, described to be leaner and with more muscles.
Also, Leto’s skin will be bleached rather than the usual makeup.
“Suicide Squad” follows a group of supervillains who are recruited by the government to carry out dangerous missions, exchanging it for shortened senteces.
Leto’s Joker will function as the movie’s Hannibal Lecter, giving support to the team from inside his cell.
The Zack Snyder directed “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” features Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
“Suicide Squad” arrives on Aug.
5, 2016, followed by “Batman V Superman,” which releases in theaters on Mar.
