The 51st Baeksang Arts Awards were held on May 26 at the Peace Palace Hall at Kyung Hee University in Seoul.

The ceremony, which was broadcast on the cable network jTBC, featured live performances from CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa and Park Jin Young of JYP Entertainment.

Several acting idols were nominated for awards during the ceremony.

JYJ’s Yoochun received the Best New Actor in Film award for his breakout performance in the nautical movie, “Haemoo.” Yoochun beat out Hallyu star Lee Min Ho and popular actor Kang Ha Neul, clinching the coveted award.

While he did not receive Best New Actor in Film honors , Lee Min Ho was the recipient of the Most Popular Actor in Film award for his performance in “Gangnam 1970.” He was joined on the stage by his co-stars of the popular teen drama “The Heirs,” Park Shin Hye and Krystal.

Park Shin Hye accepted the Most Popular Actress in Film award for her role in the period film, “The Royal Tailor.” Krystal, a member of the acclaimed dance pop group f(x), received the Most Popular Actress in Television award for her portrayal of Yoo Se Na in “My Lovely Girl.” “Pinocchio” star Lee Jong Suk was also the recipient of popularity vote honors but was not present at the ceremony due to promotional activities.

He received the Most Popular Actor in Television award for his role as Choi Dal Po in “Pinocchio.” ZE:A’s Siwan was also honored at the Baeksang Arts Awards, for his performance in the popular office drama, “Misaeng.” Fans were thrilled by a retrospective performance from CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, which featured footage of some of the most thrilling K-Drama couples.
