The latest news about the upcoming “Attack on Titan” live action movie has been exciting fans all over the world, as a new TV series is set to be released as well.

Moreso, the pilot episode for the said TV series will reportedly air during the same date of the movie’s premiere, particularly in August.

Anime News Network  reported that the upcoming series will be screened regularly on Docomo’s dTV streaming service.

Focusing on the story of Hanji, the upcoming show will be highlighting the events that take place in her daily life and how, along with other the soldiers, they try to defend themselves against the giant humanoids called the Titans.

As to the cast members, the live action series will also be featuring the actors and actresses featured in the upcoming movie.

Playing Hanji will be Satomi Ishihara.

While the public has yet to find out whether all of the cast members in the movie will be included in the TV series, fans are anticipating that the film’s major characters such as Erin and Mikasa will be featured in the TV series.

Erin’s character is played by Haruma Miura and Mikasa’s character is portrayed by Kiko Mizuhara.

Aside from the existing characters, new ones will be introduced in the series as well, ones that are not included in the upcoming “Attack on Titan” live action movie.

As to who these characters are and how their roles will affect the story and the other characters, we have yet to find out.

Meanwhile, the movie has been gaining more online momentum as the date for its premiere draws closer.

The first trailer for the film has been released previously, and according to fans, it shows remarkable CGI, making the Titans look real.

Numerous trailers have been released by the production company since then, and they were met with positive reviews from both fans and critics.
