“Assassin’s Creed Rogue” has a release date for tomorrow November 13 at midnight, and will be launched alongside “Assasin’s Creed Unity.”

I managed to get an opportunity to try some new stuff with an awesome team.
So we’ve got all these new ingredients like icebergs and ice sheets – stuff to make the naval gameplay more interesting.
Our studio was the one which created the naval experience in Assassin’s Creed III , and so having the naval stuff being such a big part of Rogue allowed us to push a lot of boundaries and really see where we could take it to make it more dynamic.
We have a lot of really cool systemic elements in the open world.
The game is set sduring the Seven Years War, with the French and British fighting for global dominance.
As a result (in the naval battles especially) you can see British and French ships fighting in the world – you can jump in and help the British fighting in their battles (since they’re your allies), or you could be fighting against a French ship by yourself, and see this British brig come crashing over the waves and slam into the guy you’re fighting.
We’ve got so many new features, and one of the best things about it is that we’ve got a huge open world (more playable land mass than even Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag ), so if you love the open world in Black Flag you’re going to love this.
We felt that our fans (especially those fans that are going to be playing Rogue on PS3 and 360) would appreciate it if we gave them the tools they were used to from Black Flag .
If you played Black Flag , the controls are very similar.
Well, the cool thing about the franchise is that it’s got such a long history.
There are so many mechanics and cool things we’ve got in the game.
You already know what it’s like to play as an Assassin.
You know about air assassinations, you know about taking apidgeon and finding an assassination contract off of that.
So in Rogue we kind of flipped it, and decided to make you a templar for the first time.
You’re now fighting assassins.
You’ve got assassins that can actually assassinate you.
They can air assassinate you – they can jump out of a hay stack and try and stab you.
We’ve got cool things like you can actually capture a pidgeon and actually find the contract and intercept them before they kill the guy, so we flip it and you get to see what it’s like from the other perspective, which is pretty cool.” The most recent news from the game is that it will be released on PC as well as consoles.
Ubisoft has announced that “Assasin’s Creed Unity” has been delayed and will share a release date with “Rogue.” A new list of achievements has been leaked and you can read them here .

Ubisoft senior communications manager Gary Steinman explained on the Ubisoft blog that the developer needed more time to fine-tune and polish “little things” before the game is ready.
“A tiny gesture that Arno makes as he’s racing across the Parisian rooftops.
A barely noticeable reaction from a solitary NPC in a crowd 3,000 deep.
The subtle swaying motion of an opulent chandelier in a lavish ballroom,” he said.
“It’s these little things, multiplied by the thousands, that a development team focuses on during the final push to ship a game.
And with a massive open-world title like Assassin’s Creed Unity, all those little things add up fast.
Toss in the fact that Unity has been built from the ground up as a new-gen Assassin’s Creed–and that final straight-line sprint to the finish suddenly feels like an obstacle course laden with curves, hurdles, and pitfalls.” Senior producer Vincent Pontbriand said “This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning,” he said.
“It’s always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved.
So as we get close to the finish we often realize we’re near the target but we’re not quite there yet.” Assassin’s Creed: Rogue will continue the Kenway saga, Shacknews recently had a chance to talk to Ubisoft’s Karl Luhe about this latest side-story in the AC series, while also getting an opportunity to see some more gameplay.
“Assassin’s Creed Rogue fits between Assassin’s Creed 4 and Assassin’s Creed 3,” Luhe explained to Shacknews.
“It’s the cornerstone of the Kenway saga, the story of Assassins versus Templars in the mid-18th century in North America.” This time, however, you will play an assasin turned Templar.
Hints that some characters like Haytham Kenway will return have also been dropped.
“Rogue “will add never-before-used weaponry and resources that the Assassin side simply doesn’t have.
Ships will have more firepower, and there will be an air rifle with a grenade launcher attachment on the ground, that said you’re opponents will be assassin’s so they may wait for you in haystacks and jump on you from a roof.
“Rogue” is set during the Seven Years’ War and will take place in various North American locations, including the frozen North Atlantic, the Appalachian River Valley, and New York.
The main templar character is called Shay Patrick Cormac.
PC Gamer Reports, “This is something we’ve thought about all the way since AC1.
What would it be like to play as a Templar?” Associate Producer Karl Von Der Luhe said in a Uplay interview.
“We think it’s really powerful, both in gameplay and storyline [and] premise.
Shay Patrick Cormac will go through a very emotional journey from being an Assassin to being a fully-fledged Templar, and we want the player to go through a similar journey.” Rogue may also be the first “Assasin’s Creed Game Released on PC, “The game is being developed for 360 and PS3,” Von Der Luhe continued.
“We’ve heard a lot of response requesting a PC version, so we’ll be looking into that very soon.” “Assasin’s Creed Rogue” release date will be November 11.
