Ariel Winter’s breast reduction surgery is clearly doing wonders for the “Modern Family” actress as she stepped out on a date night wearing a figure-hugging, cleavage-showing gown.
The 17-year-old actress underwent breast reduction surgery on June 4.
“Ariel Winter is reveling in her new-found body confidence after having a breast reduction and put her figure on show during a date night with boyfriend Laurent Claude Gaudette over the weekend,” reported Daily Mail .
The actress, who plays Alex Dunphy in “Modern Family,” earlier announced her decision to undergo breast reduction surgery because her 32F chest is already hampering on her health.
Ariel Winter talked about the breast reduction surgery to Glamour magazine that got her to down to more manageable 32D.
“It started to hurt so bad that I couldn’t take the pain,” she said . “I got it for myself. I can’t even really put it into words about how amazing it feels to really feel right.”
She continued, “I really couldn’t stand up straight for a long period of time. It started to hurt so bad that I couldn’t take the pain. My neck was hurting so bad and I actually had some problems with my spine.”
In another interview with People , “Modern Family” actress Ariel Winter said that the response from her breast reduction surgery was overwhelming.
“I thought I would get a lot more criticism about, ‘Oh, you did surgery. You changed yourself, blah, blah, blah … ‘ Which a lot of people say, but I received so much support from women and young girls,” she said.
Instead, her announcement was taken as an inspiration to some girls suffering from the same problem.
“Girls are tweeting me and saying like, ‘Oh, this wouldn’t be accepted where I am, but now that you did it and opened a conversation about it, I can actually like talk to my friends and family about the possibility of this,’
Or ‘I’ve been living with so much back pain, and I’ve been so humiliated so many times when I had to wear something that was so baggy because I couldn’t wear the things my friends were wearing because it was inappropriate on me,” the “Modern Family” star said.
