Anne Hathaway went all out for her first appearance on the show “Lip Sync Battle” as the promotional clip for the next episode of the show features The “Les Miserables” actress going head to head with actress Emily Blunt.
The Oscar winner chose Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” for her song, and dressed in an all white ensemble, hopped on a wrecking ball prop, just as Miley did in her music video.
To add to the competitive performance, Anne even gave a watching Emily Blunt the middle finger mid-way through her performance.
Emily is shown laughing at the whole thing.
It will be remembered that the two actresses first met when they co-starred as the assistants of Meryl Streep’s character in the movie “The Devil Wears Prada.” The two have become friends since, and it has been reported that Anne was the one who introduced Emily Blunt to “The Office’s” John Krasinski.
Emily and John would later on get married.
“Lip Sync Battle,” which airs on Spike, is hosted by rapper L.L.
Cool J, and model Chrissy Teigen.
The show pits two celebrities against each other as they try to give the best lip sync performance of any song of their choice.
Before becoming a full fledged TV show, “Lip Sync Battle” was a popular segment on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.” Among the memorable performances of the show included Emily Stone rapping “All I Do Is Win” , John Krasinski belting Boyz II Men’s “I’ll Make Love To You,” and Joseph Gordon Levitt’s performance of “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John.
The spin off show premiered with Dwayne Johnson performing “Shake It Off,” by Taylor Swift against Jimmy Fallon’s “Like A Prayer,” by Madonna.
Lip Sync Battle is produced by Jimmy Fallon with Stephen Merchant, and John Krasinski. Watch Anne Hathaway’s “Lip Sync Battle” performance here:
