Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's Movie 'By The Sea' Gets Release Date; Plot Details Revealed!

The new movie starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has just gotten a release date of November 13, 2015.

“By The Sea” marks the second time that the real life married couple will appear together on screen.

The first one was 2005’s “Mr.

& Mrs.

Smith” where the couple met and fell in love.

Set in France, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt star as a married couple who, after years of being together, are slowly drifting apart.

But soon, their love for each other is reignited when they visit a small French village and have some time to get to know the local residents.

Aside from starring in this moody drama, Angelina Jolie is also taking on the helms of writing and directing the movie.

It will be her third directing effort after “In The Land of Blood And Honey ” (2011) and “Unbroken” (2014).

“This is a story about a relationship derailed by loss, the tenacity of love, and the path to recovery and acceptance,” said Jolie Pitt in an interview with People .

“It has been a privilege to explore these universal human experiences with such a generous and talented cast and crew.”  The movie is said to be a “period piece,” and the “Maleficent” actress revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly why she chose to set the movie in the 1970s.

“I chose to set ‘By the Sea’ in the 1970s, not only because it is a colorful and alluring era, but because it removes many of the distractions of contemporary life and allows the focus to remain squarely on the emotions that the characters experience in their journey,” the actress shared.

Chairman of Universal Pictures Donna Langley praised the husband and wife team for the good work they did on the movie.

“Angie and Brad have created an intimate gem of a film that will surprise people and delivers an experience they might not expect from them,” Langley said.

“Universal is honored to market and distribute it to audiences around the world.” “By The Sea” also stars Melanie Laurent, Niels Arestrup, Melvin Poupard and Richard Bohringer.
