Android 5.0 L release date might already be on the horizon.
Emerging rumors about Android 5.0 L release date are suggesting that the new Google mobile firmware may be available as early as next month.
According to a report from Gotta Be Mobile, the Android 5.0 “L” might be released at some point in mid-October.
Without the official moniker for the software, some experts from the tech world are also calling the upcoming Android OS as Android 4.5.
Since Google’s major OS updates for mobile devices are named after sweet treats, tech experts are speculating that the Android 4.5 or 5.0 L will get a name like Lollipop or Lemon Meringue Pie.
Android 5.0 L is expected to arrive initially on Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.
Furthermore, as noted on International Business Times’ report, the Android 5.0 L will also be exclusive first for AndroidOne, Google Play edition models of smartphones.
Later on, the Android 5.0 L will be released on other branded smartphones.
As for the features of the upcoming Android 5.0 L, Android Geeks noted that the new OS will feature “Material Design,” which accordingly is “Google’s new design philosophy for their mobile operating system.” Upon the Android 5.0 L release date, users will find that that “all actions are animated, the interface is more colorful, and the 3D effects and shadows make the UI more intuitive.” Describing Material Design, the post further reads: “You will be able to see where everything came from and where everything goes, all these at 60 fps fluid transitions.” Meanwhile, rumors about the release of the successor of Android 5.0 L – which is now dubbed as Android M – are already circling online.
Reports suggest that Google is also working on Android M which can be called “M&M” or “Marshmallow,” as noted on the GottaBeMobile.com’s post .
