With a new album in the talks and a possible tour being on hold while the singer is on a break, Adele has reportedly signed a deal to have a residency in Las Vegas.
In a report by Metro , the 27-year-old singer has reportedly signed a $40-million contract to a two-year residency in one of the most luxurious hotels in Las Vegas.
The demand for Adele is off the charts,” a source reportedly said.
“Everyone is dying to see her perform again.
This could be the biggest deal ever put together.” Going on a two-year residency would have Adele follow the footsteps of Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and J-Lo, among others.
With regard to her new album, Digital Spy reported that music producer Emile Haynie recently revealed that Adele is taking her time with the progress of her record that got it delayed.
As previously reported the “Rolling In The Deep” singer’s third record was supposed to come out late last year but was delayed for a few times.
“Adele was awesome, but I don’t know if we’ll be working together,” Haynie said.
“We got along well as friends when we met in February and I hope we can cut some songs, but Adele is taking her time.” “I’d push for it to happen, but we’ll have to wait and see.” The Daily Star previously hinted that the new Adele album was to be released unexpectedly following the success of Beyonce’s surprise release.
“The plan is to release internationally on iTunes as a complete surprise without any previous promotion or build-up publicity campaign,” the source reportedly said.
“The shock tactics worked amazingly well for Beyoncé and the feeling is Adele’s new album is so widely anticipated it doesn’t need a long promotional build-up.” Speculations were quick to rise that the new Adele album would come out before the year ends.
