2NE1 idol Dara (Sandara Park) is back in Manila, Philippines – her previous home before becoming a YG Entertainment idol – and has spent the past two days touring the city and appearing before fans as part of her duties as Penshoppe ambassador.
Dara flew in to the Philippine capital on March 31, and she was snapped at the airport holding a bouquet of flowers and a paper bag of Jollibee, a popular local fastfood chain.
“Mabuhay! I’m back!” wrote Dara on Instagram upon her arrival, greeting her local fans in the traditional expression for a warm welcome.
Fans in the Philippines were of course ecstatic that Korean idol is once again in what was once her hometown, and embraced her with warm greetings.
“Welcome back to the Philippines!” “Excited to meet you in person!” “We’re glad that you’re home!” said fans.
A day before her fan meet event sponsored by the Philippine fashion brand Penshoppe, which she endorses, Dara hung out in historical landmarks such as the Luneta Park.
Clad in a casual Supreme shirt and cuffed denim jeans, Dara also spent her free day sipping coconut juice and going on tourist rides around the walled city of Intramuros.
On April 1, Dara thrilled fans at the Trinoma Activity Center by appearing at the Penshoppe Denim Lab fashion show and media event. Attendees commented that she looked beautiful at the press conference in her white outfit. Many also loved her candid response s during the interview portion, reportedly revealing that she did not really like studying back in school and that she liked the break periods in between classes.
On April 2, she is reportedly scheduled to appear on the Philippine variety program Showtime and then appear at another Penshoppe meet and greet event at 4PM the SM North EDSA Skydome.
