Good news for Blackjacks as former 2NE1 member CL is gearing to complete her solo album this year. But wait! There’s more good news as the K-pop superstar is teaming up with Justin Bieber’s agent Scooter Braun to invade the US market. According to a report by Myx , CL teased in a photo posted on her Instagram that she is back in the studio and raring to go back to performing live. In a video clip she posted on her account, CL gave an update to her “internet kids” about her status.
In her caption, she said that she is working hard, is alive and very happy and healthy. Her upcoming album will reportedly be entitled “Lifted.” CL is not the only former member of 2NE1 busy with launching their solo career, Minzy, who left YG Entertainment last year to sign with Music Works, is also hard at work completing her debut album as a solo artist. According to Minzy, she will be releasing her album in the first half of 2017, Popcrush  reported. Minzy is also among the featured artists in the soundtrack of “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People” OST for the song “I Wanted to Love.” She will also be busy as part of the cast of reality Sisters: Slam Dunk before her record comes out. While there are no official announcement from Park Bom, the K-pop star did address a fan query on Twitter asking is she has a solo album coming up. Her simple “Yes. I Do,” response was enough assurance for Blackjacks, the official 2NE1 fandom to get excited. Meanwhile, the final member of 2NE1 Sandara Park has not yet started working on her solo album but she has been one of the busiest among the four. Aside from landing a gig as the newest MC of OnStyle beauty show Get It Beauty, the fresh-faced idol is busy with left and right endorsements, Kpopstarz  reported. She is also set to star in “One Step,” her first major Korean movie which the Korean version of Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo’s “Begin Again.” The film will open in Korean theaters this April and will feature Sandara as an amnesiac who sees sounds in color.
